Demonstrating a venue's potential and assisting a guest with the details of their event is where I prosper - creating diagrams, building timelines, identifying concerns with a specific plan, helping to determine the right bar packages and food selections, working with external vendors, and everything in between that results in a successful event plan.

I aim to provide the full scope of product and services offered upon the first site tour and provide unforgettable experiences that exceed expectations. 

This role introduced me to managing a full catering and bar service team. I worked very closely with the bartenders, servers, and event leads to learn about the venue and its operations.

I formalized best practices for bar services, full service catering, event setups, general cleaning, and guest relations.

Working for a brewery with ever-changing taps, I researched and identified ways to provide bar packages and hosted bar service for engagements, considering cost of goods sold, competitor pricing, and demand.

I also collaborated with Creston's Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen teams to execute and develop our internal catering menu and operations. We examined missed opportunities, unpopular items, how we can best utilize taproom ingredients, and new menu formats to build a catering menu that reflected the space and what our guests needed.

THE UPDATED MENU​​​​​​​​​​

I was responsible for assisting in daily operations, meeting with upper management to stay current on company requirements, creating SOPs for cleaning and safety standards, scheduling building maintenance, and assisting in identifying places for improvement.

I also maintained a ServSafe Manager certificate for operations.​

This position expanded beyond working directly with the marketing team to schedule public entertainment, finalize contracts with producers, build events in our ticketing system, and publicize our offerings. I also assisted with gathering and producing content for social media, designing event flyers and menus, as well as updating all in-house marketing materials available to the public.

One of the most challenging, but rewarding parts of this position was determining donations and opportunities of sponsorship. This space was a community center for a lot of reasons, which caused many organizations to reach out looking for silent auction donations, complimentary merchandise to gift, and waived room rentals. Ultimately, the partners we worked with and the donations that we were able to provide, made a large impact on local organizations.
